As the holidays are now almost here, everyone is looking for the perfect gift for that special someone. Do you know someone that owns a business that is constantly suffering from downtime due its network being overburdened by newly introduced applications, solutions and devices? Then the perfect present for this individual is a network packet broker, a product that is guaranteed to drive efficiency within any corporate infrastructure while also reducing costs and improving the optimization of existing tools.
This week in the space, NeoLoad 4.1, a load and performance testing solution that can closely analyze an array of server behaviors, was launched by Neotys. Touted as combining WAN emulation and performance testing in one easy to use platform, the innovation will raise the bar on Web testing through eliminating any associated complexity.
With this offering in place, users can now quickly leverage their Internet, intranet or mobile applications on the network of their choice while benefiting from real-world mobile network conditions being seamlessly integrated into their load test environments such as bandwidth, latency and packet loss simulation.
In other news, headlines were made when it was revealed that in order to better assist U.K. operators in peering into every action occurring on their networks, Phoenix Datacom has brought not one but two powerful network packet brokers (NPBs) from VSS Monitoring to the U.K. market.
Coined vBroker 200 and vBroker 300, both of these robust products are Level 3 NEBS compliant and power some pretty significant capabilities ranging from traffic filtering/grooming, media and rate conversion to the offloading of packet processing to connect monitoring systems in a much more effective manner.
In a statement, John Carson, managing director of Phoenix Datacom commented, “These solutions allow our customers to meet stringent and increasing monitoring requirements and, at the same time, save money by making much better use of existing monitoring systems “Customers can effectively connect multiple monitors to a single network and ensure that only relevant traffic is securely passed to each device,” added Carson.
Closing out the week, news broke that Net Optics (News - Alert), a provider of intelligent network access and monitoring architecture solutions, completely revamped its network packet broker (NPB) solution.
The NPB will allow customers to deploy extremely complex network monitoring and security solutions that will in turn help them to quickly overcome IT challenges by bringing a new level of functionality to the same platform.
"We're committed to advancing the leading edge with our Network Packet Broker solutions, including the xStream Family, to ensure that our customers can protect their networks, maintain superior performance and gain the full value of their tool investment," Besser added in a statement.
