NeoLoad 4.1, a load and performance testing solution that can realistically simulate user activity and monitor server behavior, has been recently rolled out by Neotys.
This solution integrates WAN emulation and performance testing in a single, integrated solution and its exclusive technology allows users to perform Web testing more quickly, efficiently and frequently, according to the company.
Users can now deploy their Internet, intranet or mobile applications whatever architecture they may use, even the newest such as Flex, Silverlight, GWT and Ajax Push. In addition, users can enjoy the real-world mobile network conditions united into their load test environments, including bandwidth, latency and packet loss simulation.
“The explosive growth of mobile applications has created new challenges for testing organizations that need to realistically simulate production user scenarios including the network they run on,” said Gerald Labie, CEO, Neotys USA. “NeoLoad is evolving rapidly to meet industry needs; displaying leadership by integrating new technologies to ensure customers have all they need to generate real world test conditions for mobile applications so their users don’t themselves end up as application ‘testers’ by default.”
The version comes with the support of SPDY, a new protocol promoted by Google (News
- Alert) and embraced by big web players like Facebook and Twitter. NeoLoad now allows users to test SPDY websites so that they can do capacity planning to prepare their future SPDY deployment. It will also ensure that their SPDY enabled servers are realistically loaded.
The new version also includes support for Web standards, including HTML5, which ensure open, reliable efficient applications.
Scott Barber, CTO, PerfTestPlus added, “With its new mobile network simulation capability, NeoLoad now gives testers the power to create unprecedented realism from a single tool. Among the other new features, one of my favorites is the ability to import monitoring data from external tools. This is something I’ve been asking for, for years! It’s nice to see that someone is listening. Adding all this to NeoLoad’s well-known ease-of-use for Web 2.0 apps makes this release a big deal.”
The company is currently allowing the download of free trial version of NeoLoad 4.1 and it is also available on immediate basis.
