This week in the space, ODR Technologies Services GmbH formed a strategic alliance with Orckit-Corrigent in a move that will enable the companies to work together in building a robust packet transport network.
"Orckit-Corrigent's solutions successfully meet our overall requirements, especially our need for migration possibilities of our existing SDH network,” Bernhard Palm, CEO of the company, said in a statement.
Orckit-Corrigent’s CM-4000 portfolio entails an array of packet transport network switches that can be utilized within residential, business and mobile backhauling services in telecom networks. The company first opened its doors in 1990 and since then has expanded its footprint within Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and the United States.

- Alert) revealed that its Borderless Networks and Collaboration infrastructure is now being leveraged by Turkiye Is Bankasi (Isbank). The bank’s is hoping this solution will enable it to ramp up product and service development as well as enhance its customer service.
With this network in place, almost 25,000 employees and 1,200 branches of the bank across Turkey and Europe will now be able to communicate much less complexly while seeing exactly what actions are occurring within the network at all times.
In a statement, Emrah Gökçe Aygün, IT infrastructure manager, Turkiye Is Bankasi, said, "The technology solution which is implemented at Isbank is a key enabler for innovative business applications. With the new intelligent network in place, we now have the flexibility to expand any solution to any Isbank branch. At Isbank, we are looking at our network as the platform for future solutions, such as branch of the future with remote experts, as well as virtualization and cloud services. Every solution can now be tied to another, which will change the way Isbank interacts with its customers."
