By Rahul Arora, TMCnet Contributor

F5 Networks (News - Alert) Inc., a company that provides Application Delivery Networking solutions, recently announced that its F5Traffix Signaling Delivery Controller (SDC) Diameter solution has been selected by ASPIDER, a mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE), to manage mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) wholesale solutions for its Tier 1 carrier clients.

The SDC is a third-generation, mature, field-proven product, reflecting the Diameter DNA of Traffix. As a single Diameter platform fully compliant with 3GPP standards, the Traffix SDC enables operators to save up to 70 percent on OPEX (News - Alert) and CAPEX with a future-proof, end-to-end solution.

Operators benefit from higher mobile data performance and an optimized experience for subscribers.

Traffix SDC offers fully-featured solutions including interoperability of legacy and next-generation networks, mobile and fixed elements, and all third-party vendors.

“We chose the F5 Traffix SDC for its technical routing superiority in handling complex interconnectivity with the various networks, protocols and vendors,” said David Traynor, CEO at ASPIDER U.S. “We need the flexibility to interconnect to just about any core equipment, with the platform to handle scale and reliability.”

“ASPIDER enables enhanced scalability and reliability for carriers to better manage wholesale solutions, particularly as the market ramps up for LTE (News - Alert),” said Ben Volkow, VP of Product Development at F5. “With F5 Traffix, ASPIDER can provide an efficient and strategic approach for large carriers to generate new revenues and maintain quality of service across customer segments.”

ASPIDER delivers branded MVNE mobile services for operators, OEMs and brands. ASPIDER is an operator independent supplier of complete outsourcing solutions for mobile voice, data and content requirements. Services are designed for rapid development of mobile revenue streams for mobile operators, OEMs and numerous brands.

Clients use “configure on-demand” approaches based on ASPIDER’s Core Mobile network, OSS/BSS, Care and Billing. The solutions provide everything between the radio network and end user marketing and sales, built on multi-country, multi-operator mobile access.
