TMCnet Network Packer Broker Week in Review

In other news, MoSys (News - Alert) launched its second generation bandwidth engine device called MSR620 that enhances the bandwidth engine capabilities by seamlessly integrating cycle selectable burst functionality with different packet sizes.

“The addition of the burst functionality and higher interface rates gives the MSR620 unparalleled performance in high data rate applications while reducing board area, power and system cost,” said John Monson, vice president of Marketing at MoSys.

In addition, this next-generation solution can be utilized with high-speed buffering applications that require higher speed interfaces.

Closing out the week, The Picanol Group, a company heavily rooted in the weaving machine industry, selected the Exinda 360 Dynamic Policy Engine which will allow the company to much more easily closely analyze an array of network traffic.

The weaving provider was in need of a solution that would allow it to improve the efficiency of its arsenal of weaving equipment while also cutting costs, factors that ultimately lead to the selection of this offering.
