Engine Yard Customers Now Open to Boundary''s Application and Network Monitoring Solution

August 15, 2012

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

Engine Yard and Boundary have collaborated to give Engine Yard customers easy access to Boundary’s application and network monitoring solution.

The partnership should evoke an exciting experience for Engine Yard PaaS customers, who now have the option to either opt for a free full-featured version of Boundary or buy the version that features higher levels of data retention and data volume capacity.

By monitoring every packet that flows from server to server instance and analyzing them in seconds, Boundary alerts users to developing problems in seconds.

No matter what computing environment they own and operate – public, private or hybrid cloud infrastructures – Boundary gives users real-time visibility unobtainable via traditional monitoring tools.

With the real-time application performance monitoring, users can watch every application continuously every second so they can prevent problems before quality of service is affected.

Also Boundary is reportedly the first of a new class of application performance monitoring solutions designed and built for dynamic, distributed IT environments.

The Engine Yard Platform-as-a-Service reportedly offers a high-performance solution that empowers SaaS (News - Alert) providers to grow and thrive. As part of the partnership, Boundary will integrate with Engine Yard PaaS, which will let Engine Yard customers request and install Boundary in their own PaaS environments.

“We provide our customers with the tools and resources necessary to support, manage and innovate with PaaS solutions,” said Marcy Campbell, SVP of Global Alliances and Business Development. “We're pleased to have Boundary join our growing partner ecosystem and offer per-second visibility into how applications are communicating within the Engine Yard PaaS. Leveraging the deep domain expertise and commercial grade solution offered by Engine Yard and the Boundary monitoring application performance solution, customers can build and run dynamic cloud-based applications quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.”
